Basic Rules of Ladbrokes Blackjack
Let’s start with the basics. Ladbrokes Blackjack is all about beating the dealer without going over 21 points. You receive two cards and can choose to draw more cards (hit) or stay with your current total (stand). An essential aspect is the value of the cards: jacks, queens and kings each count for 10 points, while aces can be worth 1 or 11 points depending on your hand.
A more advanced strategy is card counting, where you track the cards played to increase your chances. While this is not easy, with the right practice it can become a powerful tool.
The game has no minimum guaranteed amount used for the jackpot. The RTP% (return to player percentage), calculated on a statistical basis that takes into account the use of the best gaming strategy, is 99.54%.
The buy-in amounts range from €0.01 to €1000. The maximum limit, including any rebuys, is set at €1000 per gaming session.
The buy-in panel contains a tool that allows you to use cursors so that you can easily set the amount from a minimum of €0.50 to €1000 (provided that your game account balance is not below this amount). You can also set amounts other than the preset amounts by manually entering the amount.
This version of Blackjack uses six decks of cards (52 x 6 = 312 cards in total). The six decks are reshuffled for each hand.
The table limits are clearly displayed on the table and any bets exceeding these limits will not be accepted. After you place your bet, the bank will deal two cards to each seat at the table, one at a time and starting to the left of the bank. The bank will also deal itself two cards during the card dealing process.
a. The first ace dealt to each player is worth 11 points, unless this gives the player a score higher than 21. In this case, the ace is worth 1 point;
b. Cards from 2 to 10 have the value indicated on the card;
c. Each jack, queen or king is worth 10 points;
d. An ace with a jack, queen, king or 10 means you have Blackjack (any two initial cards totaling 21 means you have Blackjack);
e. If you have two cards totaling 21 after splitting your cards, this does not count as Blackjack;
f. Blackjack beats a score of 21;
g. The bank deals itself a card if the total of its cards is less than 17 and passes if the total is 17 or higher. The bank stops dealing if the player busts.
The first ace dealt to the bank is worth 11 points, unless this gives the bank a score higher than 21 or exactly 17. In that case the ace is worth 1 point. So an ace and a 6 gives a total score of 7 and not 17, while an ace and a 7 gives a total score of 18.
The player can split his/her two cards if they form a pair or have the same value. So if you have eight-eight, king-jack, six-six or jack-ten, you can form two hands by placing an additional bet of the same value. The bank will then deal the cards. The new hands that are formed follow the same rules as the initial hands, but if you split two aces, the bank will deal only one card for each hand and not share more.
You cannot get Blackjack from a split hand.
So if you play an ace with a card worth 10 points, your score is 21. Splitting is allowed for all pairs with cards of the same face value.
After the first two cards have been dealt, you can double your bet and ask for one more card if you think that extra card will help you beat the banker’s hand. Your turn then ends with this extra card. You can also double after splitting.
If the dealer’s first card is an ace, the player will be asked whether or not he/she wants insurance for each hand in the game. If the player decides he/she wants insurance, he/she must pay half of his/her stake. This does not affect Blackjack hands (which consist of two cards).
After everyone has been asked if they want insurance, the bank will say whether or not he/she has Blackjack.
