England won 0-1 against the Czech Republic on the third day of the group stage and thus remain unbeaten in this edition of the European Championship. Germany showed two faces at the start of the European Championship. First they lost to France in the opener, 0-1. Then they were supreme against reigning champions Portugal only to be nearly knocked out by little brother in the group Hungary on the third day of play.

The Germans have shown against Portugal that they can play really good football and want to repeat this feat against the eternal enemy from England. Die Mannschaft already scored 6 goals in this tournament and hope to be able to crack England’s stiff defence.

Matchday 29/06/2021: 18.00: Sweden vs Ukraine

Sweden recorded two wins and a draw in their group. The first game against Spain ended in a 0-0 draw, the second against Slovakia ended 1-0, and in the last game against Poland we saw a great battle with Sweden’s 3-2 victory in the closing moments of the match until consequence. With this win, Sweden took the group win and Spain only second place.

The Swedes count on a strong defense to score in the counter. Real Sociedad’s 21-year-old Isak must use his speed to ensure the goals for Sweden.

Ukraine showed against the Netherlands that it can play football, but lost the match 2-3. Roman Yaremchuk and co defeated North Macedonia 2-1 on the second day of play, but were defeated on the last day of play against Austria (0-1). With 3 out of 9, the Ukrainians only just qualified for the 1/8th finals.

Attacking duo Yarmolenko-Yaremchuk have been involved in all of Ukraine’s goals and fans are hoping the pair will continue on the same momentum against Sweden. With Atalanta’s Ruslan Malinovskyi and Dynamo Kyiv’s Mykola Shaparenko, it has two excellent midfielders to provide the supply.
